Blue and green iridescent tafetta, fringe trim, bell sleeves. White eyelet dickie. Eyelet pieces added to create modesty. Lace top, tie closure at center back. Damage: silk is splitting in its age. Matching skirt with tie closure at center back. Donated to this collection in 1981. Has been altered multiple times. Sleeve length seems to have originally been at a cap sleeve, fabric was added to make the sleeves 3/4 to full length. Lace at neckline was also added.
Yellow wool cape with matching braid trim. Black collar with purple and pink embroidery. Worn and owned by Mame Jenkins. Full length, closes at center front.
Jacket was part of a suit owned by Edith Olive Knoles Warton when she was 19 years of age. She was born in Cache County, Logan Utah on August 11, 1869 to William and Elizabet Croft Knoles. The very fine tailoring was probably done in 1888 in Logan, Utah.
Block Print, black lace, high collar with satin bow on front. Worn by his Mother Mary Ann Morrell from Hyde Park, Utah. Her husband, Joseph Morrell, was President of Cache Valley Stake. Donated in 1974.
