Photocopied transcript of the Life History of John Lloyd Roberts Sr. On 29 Nov. 1869 at the age of 19 John Lloyd was married to Mary Adeline Ensign. He also became first counselor to Bishop Thomas E. Ricks, Jr. of the Rexburg Ward. They established a home with some of the first white settlers in Rexburg, bringing with them a herd of cattle, horses, and provisions to last a couple of years. John was advised by President Ricks to build or maintain two homes, one for each wife on account of the laws of government. See also File MS 36.
