| Description | Dress is composed of a jacket and skirt. The jacket has a Mandarin collar with a ruched ruffle in the back. The bodice of the jacket is lined with a floral print cotton. It has gigot sleeves The puff part is more of an over lay and the fitted part is a two piece sleeve. The back of the jacket has two princess seams and a center back seam. The center back seam is covered by an overlay piece that has a bow at the bottom. The bodice front has two pleats on each side with hook and eye closures. There are button holes so it may of once had buttons. This is covered by another overlay piece. On the inside of the jacket, there is one piece of boning so the jacket once would have been boned. The shirt has five panels and would have been worn with a bustle. For a closure, there is a button in the back. The bottom two inches of the shirt is ruched. |
