They came to the United States in the early 1850's and settled in Tooele, Utah. A child William Gillespie Martin is the great grandfather who was born Jul 15,1861 and married Clara Jane Mckerlich. William and Clara's child James Phillip Martin is the grandfather and his wife, Alice Grace Hurter the writers grandmother. |
