Revolutionary War Costume Uniform Coat

DescriptionRevolutionary War costume uniform coat. Blue (faded to gray) uniform with eight braids across chest, ending in gold-colored buttons. Gold/tan lapel collar with continuing braids and gold buttons on collar. Gold/tan inset yoke, chest piece (with braid and buttons). Sleeve cuff gold/tan each with 3 braid and gold buttons. Coat lined with gold/tan "canvas" 2 gold buttons at back waistline (buttocks). Hem of coat folded back at center front and center back to expose gold lining held open with gold button each side. Mock pocket flaps. (Total 28 buttons) Button: Front embossed with: 2 horses, eagle, ship, viking boat. Back stamped w/ Harrisburg PA: State Arsenal. (1912 pattern replicas). Sleeves lined with unbleached muslin. Includes hand-stitched patch at each shoulder with name on left lining: "Property of Joseph C Fischer Costumers Philadelphian Penn"
