Description | Black lace (open-weave) capelet with 13 petal-ends at bottom. Elbow length cape. Black lace is embroidered flowers, leaves, stems, and ribbons made with black beads and black sequins. Underneath lace petals is another gathered black lace layer with three rows of black satin ribbon sewn in scallops. Bottom row of scallops is same length as above-layer lace petals. At neckline is a 4-layer collar made of: Top layer: 5" wide black lace with three rows of satin scallops |

| Bottom layer: 5" wide black lace with three rows of satin scallops, sewn to face shoulders. Inside of caplet lined with silk (*95% of silk has crumbled and fallen out), twill, gauze, perforated satinny paper. Behind outer beaded lace is lining with a soft tricot-like cream-colored fabric. "B. Altman" label at back neckline. |
