Virginia Newmas Ellis wore this bodice at her daughter's wedding in 1947. Called a "waist". Black lined silk jacket with black braid trim down the front, across back and at bottom of sleees. The sleeves are leg-of-mutton style. At the bottom of the jacket is a self-fabric pleated trim. Hook & eye front closure.
