Basic black chemise or "sack" dress, completely loose fitting. Front & back princess lines, skirt portion attached with horizontal seem at around hip level, possibly added later after original production. Unbelted with a lowered waistline with tuck, jewel neckline with full piping, 3/4 length sleeve, rayon shantung. Zipper and two hook & eye closures at center back. Zipper has printed instructions "Iron like Nylon. Avoid hot iron."
