White and navy cotton sailor shirt school uniform, front eyelet and ribbon tie closure, navy collar with white trim, sleeve inseam placket with hand stitched button and loop, removable navy cuffs with handworked buttonholes, bound neck edge, small single welt pocket at left breast. Sailor blouse worn in Germany as a school uniform by Margarete Henschel Lamprecht. Donated in 1985.
Blue and green iridescent tafetta, fringe trim, bell sleeves. White eyelet dickie. Eyelet pieces added to create modesty. Lace top, tie closure at center back. Damage: silk is splitting in its age. Matching skirt with tie closure at center back. Donated to this collection in 1981. Has been altered multiple times. Sleeve length seems to have originally been at a cap sleeve, fabric was added to make the sleeves 3/4 to full length. Lace at neckline was also added.
