Christening Dress and Slip

DescriptionDress is made of white cotton. Dress has two piece sleeves with three inch wide cuffs on top sleeve piece. The cuffs have four pin tucks at top and then cut work embroidery lace. Both sleeve pieces are trimmed with narrow cut work lace. Dress closes in the back with four buttons. There are three box pleats on each side of bodice back. There are no side seams. The front of the dress has a center front panel. This panel is made up of pin tucks and cut work lace. Each section of pin tucks has seven rows of pin tucks. There are two inch bands of cut work embroidery. There are then four inch wide ruffles of more cut work lace. The bottom of the dress has a row of matching cut work and pin tucks as the front panel. Slip has a high waist and very long skirt. Slip buttons in the back with three buttons. Skirt is gathered at the waist. Bottom of skirt has 15 pin tucks and two inches of lace. Lace is made with embroidery and cut work.
