Description | Johann Hermann Enns (1889-1974), son of Hermann Enns (1848-1922) and Elisabeth Braun (1854-1936) was born in Samojlowka, South Russia. He married Agatha Unruh (1892-1978), daughter of Heinrich Unruh (1845-1928) and Maria Reimer (1862-1938), in 1917 in Halbstadt, South Russia. They had eight children. They emigrated in 1925 and settled in Manitoba. |

Description | Marx Ilgenfritz (1550-1602) and his brother Paul Ilgenfritz (d.1600) were born in Oberwörnitz, Middle Franconia, Germany. Marx married Margaretha Hesenauer and the were the parents of seven children. One of their descendants, Johann "Hans" Georg Ilgenfritz (1702-1749), immigrated to America and settled in York County, Pennsylvania. He was the father of at least three children. His numerous descendants live in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, California and other parts of the United States. |

It begins with the writers great-great-grandfather Moses Martin who was born in Compsie, Sterling, Scotland on August 26, 1824 and great-great-grandmother Isabella Gillespie who was born June 11, 1847. They came to the United States in the early 1850's and settled in Tooele, Utah. A child William Gillespie Martin is the great grandfather who was born Jul 15,1861 and married Clara Jane Mckerlich. William and Clara's child James Phillip Martin is the grandfather and his wife, Alice Grace Hurter the writers grandmother. |
